Proud Boys Mock Trump
The proud boys now view Donald Trump as a total failure
Once Donald Trump lost the election the Proud Boys, a far right group declared complete loyalty to him.
In a Nov. 8 post in a private channel of the messaging app Telegram, the group urged its followers to attend protests against an election that it said had been fraudulently stolen from Trump. “Hail Emperor Trump,” the Proud Boys wrote.
However, once Trump left the White House the Proud Boys have changed their tune. They now say the former president is a complete failure. On social media sites Gap and Telegram the group is telling their supporters to no longer support Trump, and are calling him a shill and very weak.
Trump disappointed the group when the former president disavowed the violence of the January 6th insurrection, and did not remain in office. In their eyes Donald Trump is no longer a patriot.
While this is indeed bad news for Donald Trump and his so-called movement it is great news for the United States. A weakened Trump is good for democracy.
