Early Voting Favors Democrats

It’s time for Trump to go

As an old Reagan Republican, I’m ecstatic with the early heavy voting trend. I recently asked myself, what has Trump done for me since he took office? It took some soul-searching but managed to come up with one good deed. He updated NAFTA, which was a good thing. Other than that, he has been horrible.

Trump constantly says Biden is a leftist radical. Mr. President, you are the radical. Biden is a moderate and always has been.

Over 14 million people have voted early, despite COVID-19. If this trend continues, a majority of registered voters may vote in this election, a first in US history. Voters waited in line for up to 11 hours to vote in Georgia on the first day of early voting. In Michigan, over 1 million people have cast their ballots, which is nearly one fourth of the total votes cast in the 2016 election. Republicans have good reason to be nervous.

Since so many people are casting early ballots the results of the election may be known earlier than expected. Of the 23 states that report party affiliation 55% are Democrats, 24% are Republicans, and 16% are Independents. It appears Democrats are behind the early voting surge.

He cannot hide his under-whelming response to the pandemic.

President Trump continues to rant about mail-in voting fraud, without offering proof, and urges his supporters to vote in person. It appears they are listening. The early voting occurring right now is on a massive scale compared to 2016. Even if the trend bounces back to Trump he may already have lost because of the massive early voting.
